Von Grupello bis Richter – Die Tour zu Galerien und Ausstellungen

Düsseldorf mit seinen 26 Museen und mehr als 100 Galerien ist als Kunsststadt international bekannt. Bei unserer Tour liegt der Fokus dementsprechend auf der höchst lebendigen Kunstszene und speziell den Düsseldorfer Galerien, die stets junge, aufstrebende Talente suchen und finden.

Sie treffen ihre Guide in der berühmten Düsseldorfer Altstadt, von wo aus Sie zu ausgewählten Galerien, Museen und Kunstwerken im öffentlichen Raum geführt werden, denn neben den Galerien und Museen besitzt Düsseldorf über 150 Skulpturen unter freiem Himmel, etwa von Künstlern wie Henry Moore, Günther Ücker oder Gabriel de Grupello. (Galerien können besucht werden, Eintritt für Museen ist im Tourpreis nicht enthalten.)

Weiterhin steht natürlich auch die Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie auf dem Tourplan, denn hier kommen die jungen Talente oft überhaupt her. Gegründet im Jahre 1762 auf dem Ruhm der alten Düsseldorfer Malerschule, hat sich die Akademie heute zu einem Ort entwickelt, an dem junge, progressive Kunst entsteht, die nicht selten auch einen politischen Anspruch hegt. Berühmte Absolventen und Professoren der Akademie umfassen unter anderem Joseph Beuys, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Andreas Gursky und Candida Höfer.

Düsseldorf with its 26 museums and more than 100 galleries is known as a city of art. On this tour you will focus on the vibrant art scene and especially the galleries in town that are looking for young upcoming talents continuously. Meeting the guides in the famous Alstadt, you will then be shown various galleries, museums and art in public places. Düsseldorf features over 150 sculptures under the sky by famous artists like Henry Moore, Günther Ücker or Gabriel de Gruppello.

You will be introduced to the marvellous Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie (the city’s art academy) established in 1762, that was founded on the fame of the old Düsseldorf Painting School and has now emerged to a place, where progressive art of tomorrow is being produced by students that originate from all over the world. Famous artists that learned and taught at the school were, among others, Jospeh Beuys, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Andreas Gursky and Candida Höfer.
