Maastricht
Maastricht ist eine der drei ältesten Städte der Niederlande. Und auch, wenn es sich nun nicht mehr feststellen lässt, ob Maastricht vielleicht sogar die älteste von allen ist, ist sie doch sicherlich die schönste!
Die Stadt liegt an beiden Seiten der Maas, die Altstadt wird geprägt von Kopfsteinpflaster und Häuserfassaden aus verschiedenen Jahrhunderten. Schmale Gassen, hohe Giebel und im Gegensatz dazu große Plätze wie der Vrijthof und der offene Maasboulevard laden zum Erkunden und Genießen ein.
Maastricht verfügt über eine reichhaltige kulturelle Landschaft mit Konzerten, Theatern, Museen und vielem mehr. Außerdem wird Maastrichts Atmosphäre geprägt von den vielen Studenten aus aller Welt, die an der Universität der Stadt studieren aber auch die zahlreichen Bars und Restaurants bevölkern.
Auf einer etwa eineinhalbstündigen Tour berichten unsere erfahrenen Stadtführer aus der Maastrichter Stadtgeschichte; Etwa aus der Römerzeit, in der die Stadt gegründet wurde, dem durch religiös-weltliche Doppelherrschaft geprägten Mittelalter oder der neueren Geschichte, in der Maastricht zur wichtigen europäischen Stadt avancierte.
Dabei werden selbstverständlich auch die herausragenden Bauten der Stadt gezeigt und erläutert, unter anderem das Dinghuis, die Onze Lieve Vrouwe-Basilika, Bischopsmolen, Spaans Gouvernement und das historische Rathaus.
Anmerkung: Wir bieten diese Tour als Busbegleitung mit anschließender Stadtführung an. Sie eignet sich besonders für Betriebs- oder Vereinsausflüge oder ähnliche, größere Veranstaltungen. Auf der Hinfahrt unterhalten unsere Stadtführer die Gäste auch im Bus und schließen daran nach der Ankunft ihre Stadtführung an. The city itself is situated on both banks of river Maas and characterized by narrow alleys, high gables and facades from different centuries. In addition to that, one also finds wide open squares like „Vrijthof“ and beautiful promenades like the „Maasboulevard“
Maastricht has a rich cultural history, and also today we find there many cultural offerings, be that concerts, cinemas, museums and much more. The city’s charm is aided by the fact, that it is very much a student city with many young folks populating the streets and squares.
On a one-and-a-half-hour tour, our experienced guides will introduce you to Maastrichts older and younger history, from the roman times, when the city was founded, to the development of Maastricht as an important european city. You will be shown to all the important buildings, too, like the Dinghuis, Spaans Gouvernement, Bishops Molen and Onze Lieve Frouwe-Basilika as well as the historical city hall.
Please note: We offer this tour as an excursion that takes you from the Rhineland via bus to Maastricht and then combines the guided tour in the city with free time for the guests to spend on their own. It is ideal for company- or club trips. Our guides will entertain the guests on the busride to Maastricht with a talk about the specialities of the regions we travel through.
